Learn to Swim

We know that it is important to see your child progress when you are investing in their future whether from this be from enjoyment, safety or competitive-based intentions. That's why we have broken our stages down into smaller chunks so that progress can be seen regularly. Therefore, you may find that you stay with the same teacher even though you have achieved a certificate. It's really important to note that our program does not teach purely to stages, rather than to the strengths of the child. We will endeavour to not hold a child back because they are missing one element, but in the same breath, we will not move a child on until they are competent and safe. Our teachers will nurture, develop and differentiate according to the needs of the class to ensure that we get them proficient in water, wherever that valuable skill needs to take them. Not every child swims to be the next Olympian but every child that swims with us will be afforded to commitment to make them successful at every part of their swim journey with us. We live next to the coast and aspire to create strong, independent water lovers.

Check out Swim Englands guideline as to what makes a competent swimmer... 25m is an amazing achievement but we recommend, in line with the Swim England guidance, that your child should have aspirations of swimming 100m with ease and without stopping before considering swimming lessons to be at a level of having the option to stop.
